Transformers War for Cybertron: Earthrise

The wait is almost over! On December 30th, the epic battle between the Autobots and Decepticons continues with Transformers: War for Cybertron: Earthrise!

The second chapter in the exclusive Netflix animated series brings the civil war started in “Siege” closer to home, as the Transformers leave Cybertron in search for the AllSpark on Earth. Check out the recently released trailer above!

“With the Allspark missing, and the Ark marooned in deep space, Optimus Prime and the surviving Autobots run a desperate race against time while they contend against an independent group of Transformers called the Mercenaries, as well as the wrath of a desperate Megatron.”

What’s great about the new Transformers: War for Cybertron animated series is that it’s all based on the Hasbro toy line of the same name. The whole project reminds me of Transformers’ G1 glory days, where cartoon and toys worked in perfect harmony. The new War for Cybertron characters even feature classic G1-inspired robot designs, and with the new Earthrise series, a return to Earthbound vehicle modes!

Transformers Earthrise-themed toys launched earlier this year, but due to the whole crappy Covid pandemic, subsequent waves have been delayed. However, that’s all quickly changing. Transformers Earthrise Deluxe Wave 2 just hit retail last month (including the awesome Smokescreen!) and Transformers Earthrise Deluxe Wave 3 has arrived just in time for Earthrise’s Netflix premiere (and Christmas!). Rounding out the new Earthrise assortment are killer Voyager Class figures of Megatron and Quintesson Judge (arriving in January)!
