    TF15: Hasbro Marvel

    Age Of Ultron And Beyond...

Hasbro held its huge press event today at New York Toy Fair 2015, and what an event it was! They started off the action with their initial Marvel announcements for the upcoming year covering Age of Ultron, Legends, Titan Heroes, Spider-Man, and more. The biggest news, of course, concerns the Avengers sequel. For kids Marvel is continuing the 2.5 inch mini figure system they started with Guardians of the Galaxy last year, with a variety of single and double packs, vehicles, and three playsets that connect to form the Avengers Tower! The popular kids 12 inch Titan Heroes figure line continues as well, and for Age of Ultron Marvel is beefing it up with new Tech Heroes packed with lights and sounds. The gigantic Hulkbuster Iron Man even recognizes other figures and plays specific sound clips. For kids wanting to get in on the action there are role play items like voice-changing masks and new Hulk Hands with gripping fists.

The collector Legends Infinite series expands with 2015 Series 2 bringing Captain America, Hulk, Spiderwoman, Hellcat, Iron Man Mk 43 (with alternate unmasked version), Batroc, and a Build A Figure Thanos. Wave 3 will add a new Dr. Strange, the missing Blizzard, Vision, Marvel Now Iron Man in black armor, War Machine (with unmasked version), Thundra, Valkyrie, and the massive Hulkbuster. Ant-Man gets a Legends series too with Ant-Man with miniature Ant-Man and Yellowjacket, Tigershark, Wasp, Grim Reaper, Giant Man, and Bulldozer with Build A Figure Ultron Prime. Finally the Spider-Man Legends Series 2 this year brings classic Scarlet Spider with hoodie, Misty Knight, Ghost Rider, Chameleon/Hammerhead/J. Jonah Jameson, Kraven, Superior Venom, White Tiger, and Build A Figure Rhino. Ant-Man will also see releases in the Titan Heroes (movie) and Hero Mashers (comic book) lines.

Like your figures smaller? The standard 3 ¾ inch Infinite series brings modern Scarlet Spider, Chameleon, Korg, X-Men costume Deadpool, Emma Frost, and a Gold Ultron. Meanwhile, a deluxe movie Ant-Man in this scale comes with a giant, articulated, flying ant! Even smaller is a new toy line being introduced called “500” with two inch blind bagged figures. Hasbro plans on running this line a long time and bringing kids and collectors tons of cool characters in a fun new format. The popular Hero Mashers line continues as well with figures like Agent Venom, Rocket Racoon, Ant-Man, Carnage, Nova, and more in the Spring. There’s also a huge Hulk/Hulkbuster Iron Man coming!

Lastly Hasbro shared some of this year’s retail exclusives that expand more of the above. Entertainment Earth will have two Titan Heroes with Hawkeye and Iron Man in new decos and with light features. Toys R Us gets 3 ¾ inch two-packs like Captain America/Black Widow and Iron Man Mk 43/Nick Fury plus a “Directors” Legends three-pack with Agent Coulson, Nick Fury, and Maria Hill. Walmart gets exclusive role play with the Hulkbuster fists and mask, Target will offer a Legends three-pack of Marvel Now Hulk, first appearance Vision, and Ultron, and Amazon gets the prized movie Legends four-pack with Thor, Mark Ruffalo Bruce Banner, Black Widow, and Hawkeye.
