Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector's Edition

Bundle Includes TriForce Statue of the Master Chief and Spartan Locke...

Halo 5: Guardians arrives October 27, 2015 and with it the opportunity to own the Limited Collector's Edition bundle. This elite package of the game is aimed at die-hard Halo fans, priced at $249.99 and including a commemorative TriForce PVC statue of the Master Chief and Spartan Locke that can be displayed as two individual pieces or together, a Guardian model by Metal Earth, uniquely-designed Spartan themed SteelBook case, Warzone REQ Bundle: 14 Premium Requisition packs, Spartan Locke's Classified Orders, Dossiers on Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris, the Halo: The Fall of Reach - Animated Series and an Xbox Live Gold 14-day Trial (as if you didn't already have it).

Some nice stuff, but $190 over the $60 game price tag nice? While I love a good game bundle, this one's value isn't adding up. To add insult to injury, the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector's Edition does not include a physical copy of the game on disc, instead opting for digital download. The reasoning is that you'll be able to download and install the game a week ahead of its October 27th release so you're all ready to go. To include the disc would allow players to play the game too soon. If you're going to go that route, I say let those who shell over $250 one week of early game play. Or include a certificate to receive the disc after its release. Something. To pay this much and not even get the physical game is like a slap in the face.
