Later this month MOTU fans will have yet another villain to add to Skeletor's ever-growing army. The eagerly anticipated glow-in-the-dark Scareglow is the third figure releasde under the Club Eternia final quarter 2009 subscription plan and will also be on sale at mattycollector.com on November 16.

So, how does this new Masters of the Universe Classics figure measure up to the rest of the line? Check out our advance look below to find out...

PACKAGING: Scareglow comes packaged in the standard Masters of the Universe Classics blister-card packaging. The carded figure comes packed in the white mailer box which has proven to be a highly successful move by Mattel to ensure that their figures are delivered in the best condition possible. The bio reveals plenty of interesting information regarding Screglow's real name Karak Nul and his obsession with unlocking the powers of Castle Grayskull.

SCULPT/ACCESSORIES: Scareglow features a removable purple cape which goes clear at the very bottom. The figure's entire body is made up of the same parts as the Skeletor figure with the exception of the head and cape. The cape has a very worn and rugged look to it with tears and
threading details at the seams.

The Four Horsemen really went the extra mile with this figure by also sculpting a highly-detailed miniature Castle Grayskull reliquary accessory. It fits perfectly in Scareglow's right hand and houses a sacred key inside as well. The reliquary features a chained clasp which conveniently attaches to Scareglow's wrist. But that's not all... Scareglow also includes his trusty Scythe of Doom which also has a glow-in-the-dark blade.

PAINT: This figure is painted incredibly well with no visible paint bleeds or flaws. The paint quality and execution is exactly what is expected of a $20 collectible figure. Scareglow features an entirely glow-in-the-dark body which features black painted accents resembling that of a skeletal body. The eyes are painted in a clean, vibrant red with a yellow iris which stands out vividly against the translucent yellow color scheme. Overall this figure features an exceptionally clean and detailed paint job that looks great with the lights on or off.

ARTICULATION: Scareglow features the standard 16 points of articulation that we have seen so far on all the MOTU Classics figures plus four additional jointed spider legs. Scareglow offers several cool posing options thanks to the vast amount of firmly placed joints on his body.

OVERALL: I have been eagerly anticipating Scareglow's release since the figure was first shown at Comic-Con. Now that I have the figure in-hand, it has easily become one of my favorite villains in the line so far. Let's face it, Mattel has released several cool bad guys but this particular one glows in the dark. The Masters of the Universe Classics line just keeps getting better by the month and fans are definitely in for a treat come later this month. For those who already placed their subscription orders on mattycollector.com you will just need to keep an eye out for the UPS man, but for those that did not, make sure you are sitting in front of a computer at noon on November 16th because this guy will surely disappear in the blink of an eye!
