New Line of High-Quality Prop Replicas Inspired By On-Screen Props...
Building upon a decades-long tradition of producing high-quality, authentic merchandise and prop replicas for legions of Star Trek fans worldwide, Roddenberry Entertainment has launched the Roddenberry Legacy Series. Inspired by original screen-filmed props, this evolving line of collectible replicas blends painstaking attention to detail and precision craftsmanship.
Roddenberry’s merchandising roots extend back to 1967, when Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry and his wife, actress Majel Barrett Roddenberry, first published their Lincoln Enterprises catalog. Inspired by fan requests for Star Trek memorabilia, this mail-order business focused on authentic Star Trek merchandise including scripts, storyboards, props, film clip frames and more. This authentic merchandising tradition evolved within Roddenberry Entertainment into its dot com destination and now seamlessly continues with the launch of the Roddenberry Legacy Series.
“My family has enjoyed offering fans Star Trek merchandise starting nearly 5 decades ago, and we are proud to continue that tradition with this new line. Fans are able to bring a quality piece of the Star Trek legacy into their homes in a whole new way with these beautifully crafted replicas,” said Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, president of Roddenberry Entertainment."
In partnership with talented artisans, prop-makers and manufacturers, this new line will offer a variety of iconic pieces, each furthering the shared legacy of Star Trek. Launching the Roddenberry Legacy Series are the Klingon Bat’leth, currently available for sale at shop.Roddenberry.com and the Star Trek Starfleet TR-590 Mark IX Science Tricorder, available for pre-sale starting today. Additional products in the Series will follow shortly.

Constructed of high-grade aircraft aluminum, with a genuine split leather grip, this 1:1-scale prop replica measures 43 inches in length, is 1/4 inch thick, and weighs an impressive 4 pounds. Also includes cold-cast resin display stand featuring a plate aluminum Klingon insignia, printed Roddenberry logo, Certificate of Authenticity, and a complimentary Klingon Warrior Floppet figure.
This Bat’leth prop replica is designed to the specifications used for Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. The false edge blade is not sharpened, and the points have been dulled for increased safety when handling. Intended for adult use only.
Roddenberry Tricorder MarkIX-012 - $499.95
The second prop from the Roddenberry Legacy Series is the Star Trek Starfleet TR-590 Mark IX Science Tricorder. Conceived for use in several Star Trek productions, the Tricorder is a versatile and portable handheld scanning device, capable of analyzing data and sharing it quickly with other systems. The Tricorder has proven to be invaluable to crewmembers, whether on a starship or an away mission. The 23rd century Tricorder from Star Trek: The Original Series was a heavy, rectangular model with a small screen and shoulder strap. Over the 24th century, the unit became more compact and featured a flip-out panel, allowing for a larger display. Later on, this clamshell design was further refined into a more angular appearance.
Replicated from the original master tooling, this 1:1 scale version features screen-accurate layered sound and LED light sequences, including a ‘ratchet-open’ and ‘ratchet-close’ effect. Each Tricorder includes an exclusive display stand, wearable holster, and certificate of authenticity. Replaceable batteries included! Intended for adult use only.
