Announcing SquintBox - First Of Its Kind Miniature Subscription Service

Each Month To Spotlight A Featured Miniaturist...

Squintbox (MySquintBox.com) is a new subscription-based service delivering an assortment of hand-crafted miniatures to subscribers’ doors each month. This first-in-category service will offer up to six quality miniature items from popular categories such as food, flowers, books and accessories. The product will arrive in a gift-wrapped package along with tips on maximizing the SquintBox collection. Additionally, surprises and incentives will be added encouraging consumers to continue their subscription, gifting and referring Squintbox to friends.

SquintBox is an offspring of D. Thomas Fine Miniatures, a retail/online destination offering miniature collectibles and a rotating gallery showcasing finer works. According to Darren T. Scala, creator of SquintBox, “Everyone LOVES miniatures! Miniature treasures have delighted and excited the senses for centuries. Today a whole new generation of enthusiasts, collectors and hobbyists are discovering miniatures and looking for creative ways to incorporate them into their lives.” Scala has designed the SquintBox experience to encourage enthusiasts to explore miniatures, the talented craftspeople who create them and to dispel the perception that miniatures are merely children’s toys.

Each month SquintBox will spotlight a featured miniaturist and subscribers will be introduced to their work either through the monthly box, select placement or social media-driven contests.

The first Subscriber’s box will spotlight miniaturist Michael Yurkovic, of Atomic Miniature (atomicminiature.com), a talented industrial designer and toy-maker who creates miniatures in 1/12th scale. Yurkovic is best known for his interpretation of Mid-Century Modern furniture and accessories including his signature designer chairs and other Atomic Age objects. The chance to win a special limited edition, signed and dated MCM ash tray, right from the set of Mad Men will be offered during the month of June.

“I’m excited to be a part of the launch of SquintBox as its an innovative way to introduce miniaturists and their work to enthusiasts,” says Mr. Yurkovic. With miniatures, he explains, “I always say ‘the closer you look, the better it gets’ and SquintBox is the perfect way to bring that idea to life.”

SquintBox is now accepting monthly subscribers and will ship its first box June 24, 2016.

The Squintbox retail price is $29.95 per month. There is a 10% savings for a 3-month subscription costing $26.96 per month and a 15% savings for a 6-month subscription costing $25.46.
