New Video and Ryu Prototype Photos!...
Capo Toys' Street Fighter Kickstarter is off to a strong start, but they still need your help! Formed earlier this year, Capo Toys is now independently owned by sculptor Rocco Tartamella. The Capcom license is secured, the first wave of figures have been sculpted, an experienced production manager and quality factory are in place. All that is needed are the funds to make the Street Fighter action figure project a reality. Rocco's passion for the Street Fighter license is what is driving this Kickstarter and he has high hopes that like-minded Street Fighter fans will help push it through.
Capo Toys is featuring Ryu as the first figure to be funded on Kickstarter. With a pledge of $35, Street Fighter fans will receive a Classic White GI Ryu if successfully funded. Other reward tiers include Navy Blue Player 2 Ryu ($70 - also includes White Ryu) and a Kickstarter Exclusive Black GI Ryu ($100 - also includes Blue and White Ryu)!
The Ryu Street Fighter action figures feature in-game design in a 6-inch scale. The figures feature micro fiber clothing for added detail and motion, the cloth Gi making it so that Ryu can get into the Hadoken pose, no blockage from a rubber Gi! Pictured above is a better look at the early clay prototype showing off the figure's sculpted detail, as well as a fully painted prototype showing off Ryu's game-accurate appearance. The photo below breaks down the figure, displaying Ryu's massive articulation range.
Capo Toys wants to produce ALL the Street Fighter characters in this exciting figure format. If Ryu is successfully funded, Sagat, Guile, Blanka and Chun-Li will closely follow as these figures have also already been prototyped. They're ready to FIGHT. It's up to you to make to happen!
