    My interview with Jonathan Matthews

Hi, guys...just wanted to drop by and let you know, we at the From the Booth podcast recently recorded an interview with Jonathan Matthews, one of the great sculptors in the action figure and collectible statues industry, currently working with DC Collectibles.

The podacst is available here: From the Booth: Everything but the Kitchen Sink | Captain Blue Hen Comics & Entertainment

...and is also available on iTunes (search "From The Booth"). It is also linked to on our Facebook page, where you can get details on upcoming eps, comics news, links to our own comic reviews, stuff like that.

The interview, for those of you less interested in comics news/reviews/random banter, begins at the 15-minute mark. We discuss Jonathan's early career development, the process of a statue or figure going from concept to prototyping, Jonathan's skills at translating challenging 2D art into 3D media, etc.It was a lot of fun to do...Jonathan was relaxed, open, and totally disarming with the whole thing, and he has a great ability to describe in words how an artist like him approaches a subject like this. Sorry about my voice sounding a little "Kermit", but gotta take the good with the bad, amirite? In the podcast previous, we did an interview with Randy Bowen of Bowen designs. That one is pretty cool, as well, if I do say so myself. That one should still be available for those interested.
