Everyone has a favorite character amongst the vast Marvel universe and with Sideshow Collectibles' Legendary Scale, collectors have the opportunity to own their very own hyper detailed busts. Today we take a look at the menacing and volatile Venom.

PACKAGING: This fantastic collectible is housed within a visually enhanced cardboard package. The glossy black box features several photos of the Venom bust along from different angles along with some additional comic book art.

SCULPT: Sideshow’s design team has truly raised the bar in terms of sculpting extremely detailed one-of-a-kind high-end creations and this Venom bust serves as proof. The bust measures an ample 10" in width and height which towers over other traditionally sized busts but easily fits in most shelves and enclosures. This bust represents the most lively and vivid interpretation of the comic book villain in three dimensional form so far. The gaping open and grotesque mouth on Venom features a vast amount of highly detailed pointed teeth and a reptilian-like porous tongue which look extremely life-like. Venom skin has a rough tetxture to it and just as in the comics, his neck and shoulders are riddled with veins. The Exclusive version of this bust also includes a really cool symbiote-shaped name plaque which compliments the bust rather nicely.

PAINT: The Venom legendary bust is truly a work of art as visible in the high quality paint application on the piece. Sideshow's design and development team painted the bust with a very high level of precision and craftsmanship. The gums and tongue on Venom are painted exquisitely well with just the right amount of gloss which brings out the real saliva look in the mouth. The teeth have a very realistic bone look to them and the eyes feature pearly white color that adds life to the piece.

OVERALL: Sideshow Collectibles has clearly set the standard in terms of high-end polystone collectibles and this Venom legendary scale bust is a great example of the amazing work these folks create. With the legendary scale, collectors have a bust that is not too big and not to small either. This is an excellent piece for any Spidey or Venom fans who cannot afford the life size bust.
