Boris needs a good home and he's just been made available for purchase through U1 Toy Arts. Created under the Picnic Land banner by artist Nathan Hamill, the purple raccoon who has a hankering for acorn cookies and sardine tea was originally just a regular illustration. Now with the help of sculptor Dave Kawano, U1 Toy Arts and the distribution of DKE Toys, Boris is a 2 ½ inch rotocast vinyl figure that has a lot of spunk and personality, even in such a small size.
With most vinyl figures, articulation is not a main selling point, but Boris here has neck and tail articulation to change things up. The paint is bold, colorful, and a perfect translation of the original illustration. The box that Boris comes in is also a piece of art in itself, using elements of the illustration covering the box completely.
You can pick up your very own Boris online through U1 Toy Arts for $17.99. Be sure to also check out the custom Boris (Borii?) and other art at www.nathanhamill.com - and if you look hard enough, you very well might get a glimpse of Lavabear, the next member in the Picnic Land series.
