Following their
teaser announcement yesterday,
Hot Toys today reveals their next 1:6th scale Iron Man action figure:
Hot Rod (Mark XXII), the latest addition to the MMS Diecast Series which features collectible figures made of diecast material.
Tony Stark designed the Mark XXII armor as a War Machine 2.0 Prototype Suit in
Iron Man 3. This lightly-armed suit is built with versatility in mind, being able to dodge obstacles and move around mid-air more swiftly. Tony Stark was just about to jump into the suit in the movie before it got attack by an Extremis soldier. It earns the name of “Hot Rod” as its arms and legs are designed to resemble the classic American hot rod with flames.
The Hot Toys Iron Man 3: 1:6 Hot Rod (Mark XXII) will be one of two exclusives (the other is a
Shadow Trooper - see
HERE) to first be available at
Toy Soul 2014, the first toy exhibition in Hong Kong focusing on toys and collectibles tailored for toy fanatics. The Hong Kong event will be held December 19-21 at Star Hall, Kowloon Bay International Trade & Exhibition Centre (KITEC). Hot Toys will be attending the event, offering fans their two exclusive action figures, along with showcasing other upcoming product.
