With Disney's new ownership of all things Star Wars, that just means new and more merchandise opportunities are heading your way! If you've gone to the Disney Store lately, you might have already discovered a new section devoted to Star Wars (next to Princesses, Cars, and Marvel). What started off as some apparel and Hasbro licensed action figures should already be expanded with even more apparel, more lightsabers, pins, backpacks, lunchboxes, and you guessed it: Plush Toys!

The company behind your favorite Disney characters as plush are now giving Star Wars the 'cute' treatment. Available now are Jawa and Artoo-Detoo mini sized 8" plush for $9.95 and medium sized Chewbacca and Bantha plush at $19.95. More styles and characters are no doubt on their way. You can already find Disney character themed Star Wars plush toys at the many Disney Parks but the Disney Store is probably where you'll find the more unique characters and fan favorites over the coming years.

Making their debut on May 4th (Star Wars Day) are brand new Talking Star Wars Action Figures. Priced at $29.95 each and available only at Disney Store and DisneyStore.com, the roster of Darth Vader, Han Solo, Stormtrooper, and Luke Skywalker in his X-Wing outfit are decked out with over 15 phrases, lights and sounds, and more.

Also, to celebrate Star Wars Day on May 4th, the first 100 customers (ages 3 and up) will receive an exclusive Limited Edition Star Wars Pin! There will also be various activities for kids that day at 12:30pm. Check with your local store for more details.
