    NYTF16: Kidrobot

    Unique Vinyls & Fun Licenses...

Kidrobot is known the world over for their unique vinyl figures and fun characters, and from what we saw at New York Toy Fair 2016 this year is going to bring a lot more! Yummy World is going strong with extra large plush, bento box figures, small plushes and vinyls, and more. The current series adds savory and vegetable characters to the traditional sweets, and in June the Vinyl Miniseries brings even more with a taco, french fries, carrot, lemonade, sushi, and more.

From the Best Friends game comes a new monkey figure, and Frank Kozik’s Baby Huey and 8 inch Stealth Mecha Dunny were on display alongside the 3 and 8 inch Sketracha Dunnies. This summer Kidrobot will release the Bite-Sized Labbit keychain series, and in the spring the taxidermy-inspired Horrible Adorables medium figures by artist Jordan Alise ($12.50 each). We even got to see the cool Frazetta Death Dealer figure coming this summer, and while they didn’t have one on display there’s also a Labbit the Conqueror on the way.

Jason Freeny is working with Kidrobot on more figures including the Looney Tunes Wabbit releasing this summer, and that’s also when you’ll get your hands on the Street Fighter V mini series ($5) and medium Akuma ($25). From the South Park Fractured but Whole game will be minis ($5) and a trio of medium figures ($25): Professor Chaos, Mysterion, and Coon. Mega Man is also coming to the medium scale ($25), and the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles return this summer with Shell Shock minis, keychains, and medium sized ($20) Shredder and Triceraton. From the Simpsons is coming everyone’s favorite cleaning product, a statue of Mr. Sparkle in medium statue form ($25) this summer. The BFFs line adds series 3 “Love Hurts” by Travis Cain later this year while Tricky Cats are available now.

The latest major partnership for Kidrobot is with Crayola and it’s inspired DIY figures that come with real markers in Crayola-themed packaging. In the spring we’ll see a Labbit ($10), 4 inch Trikky ($5), Munny zipper pulls and keychains ($2), 4 inch Munny ($5), and 7 inch Munny ($10).

Lastly, the next Dunny set is something really special. Designed by artist Otto Bjornik, the “Shah Mat” set brings chess-inspired figures that serve as game pieces in addition to awesome-looking vinyls. They come in two-packs and include chess board pieces; a full case will get you an entire board, both full teams, AND the chase figure!
